Recovering Your Password or Account Name
If you have forgotten your account name or password the automated recovery page should be able to assist you. This recovery feature is region specific so customers who do not have a valid North American account will need to visit their respective foreign website. Otherwise, when attempting the recovery you will be required to submit certain information depending on what you are trying to retrieve.
Account Name Retrieval
To recover the account name the only information you must submit is your registered email address. Once you have successfully submitted the request an email will be sent to that address containing all the account names associated with it.
Password Retrieval
In order for your password recovery to be successful you will need to know the following information:
- Account Name
- Security Answer: This information is case sensitive and was originally submitted when the account was created.
- Email address: This must be the address currently registered to the account. Once you have successfully submitted your request a new random password will be sent to your registered email address. We suggest that you immediately login to your Account Management page to update that information.
General Troubleshooting
- Please be patient as successful recoveries may take up to an hour to arrive.
- Ensure that any filters are currently set to receive email from "noreply@blizzard.com". If you have any difficulty in doing so, contact your email provider for assistance.
- The default error message refers to an incorrectly entered email address. Double check the answers entered for the security question and phone number as they may be incorrect as well.
If you are having trouble with the recovery process or if you need to update your email to a valid address please contact Billing and Account Services over the phone for further assistance at 1-800-592-5499. Customers in Australia should call 1-800-041-378. Representatives will not be able to assist you via email in this matter.
